The Pakenham Fox is a traditional country pub set in the heart of Suffolk.
A Suffolk flint building dating back to the late 1700s or early 1800s, the pub has been sympathetically restored in recent years and takes pride of place in the center of the village next to Pakenham Stream - which eventually feeds the river Blackbourne.
The Fox is a privately owned Free House, it offers a range of local real ales, spirits and ciders, alongside recognisable global and national brands, with a selection of over 35 gins, an extensive wine list from new and old world producers, six hand pulls, and 5 other taps, coupled with both traditional pub food and occasionally something a little different. We run quiz nights, open mic and acoustic nights, live music and plenty of other events on an ad hoc basis.​
With a cosy bar area, two restaurant areas and a snug, inside the pub offers plenty of comfortable areas to enjoy our drinks and food, and our amazing garden creates a stunning space to enjoy drinks in the warmer months.

Our kitchen team create
home cooked pub food, so you can expect to see dishes such as fish and chips, home made lasagnes, burgers, curries, various vegan and vegetarian options and a changing
weekly menu with both light bites and main courses.

every Wednesday:
Burger Night, Curry Night,
Grill Night, Pie Night
and occasionally Mexican.

We're also well known for our traditional Sunday Roasts,
which we serve from October
through to Easter.

We have 5 hand pulls and 6 bar taps. We rotate a range of real ales, ciders and craft beers from a number of local and national brewers. We work closely with Earl Soham, Artefact brewing, Burnt Mill and a number of other local micro brewers, and take products from Marstons as well with some of the bigger brands.
​
We have a good range of wines, white, sparkling, rose and red, which change as availability changes, expect to see wines from central and south America, Europe and the southern hemisphere, with some of the more unusual grape varieties and wine makers getting a moment in the spot light when something interesting comes available.
​
We have a gin bar which has over 35 gins, we stock a number of the big brands, and supplement this with some fantastic locally produced gins from distilleries in Suffolk. We urge you to try them all,
but maybe over the course of a few visits!
Events at The Fox
As well as our beautiful pub,
we have a fantastic outside space, throughout the course of the year we will run quiz nights, music nights, themed food nights, beer festivals, food festivals and all manner of other social gatherings. We will publish information about indoor and outdoor events we are running on our social media, which you can find here.
